Summer Bucket List

Summer Bucket List

The summer break countdown is officially on! That means it’s time to relax, soak up some sun rays and make lasting memories with the family! However, if you’re having trouble figuring out family-friendly activities don’t worry, the House Monsters have your back! Here’s a summer bucket list of things to do so you never have to hear the dreaded “I’m bored, mom!”

Take it Outside with Sudsy

Now that the weather is finally starting to get nicer, take the kids out to enjoy it! Make the outdoors a little more mystical by blowing bubbles with the kids. Get creative with it and have different bubble shaped wands! Maybe make it a competition and see who can blow the biggest bubble. Since bubbles cannot be made without dish soap, look no further than to Sudsy to supply you with what you need! She will provide you with the dish soap as long as she can blow a bubble or two! Start off the summer strong with this first activity!

Sundae on a Sunday with Munchy

Have you ever heard of the “everything but the kitchen sink” sundae? If not, let Munchy introduce you to it. You basically grab everything sugary and sweet from your pantry and fridge and put it all in an ice cream bowl. The first layer of your concoction is of course your ice cream. Then, and this is very important, you start layering in candy. The next level will then be chocolate. You could put in a piece of a chocolate bar or brownie. Then to top off your sundae you add whip cream, caramel drizzle and one singular cherry on top to finish your masterpiece! Grab some spoons for you and the kids and enjoy the creation you made together!

Spooky Stories with Bumpy

This summer spend as much time as you can outdoors, during the day and at night! Take a night to light a campfire, get some snacks, and tell scary stories! Being together by the campfire and under the stars will set the perfect scene to be spooked! Take turns telling scary stories and if you really want to add emphasis to your story, have Bumpy bump around for dramatic effect. He will be the one going bump in the night to scare the family but if you want to turn it around and scare him, show him a picture of a spider!

Wear What You Make with Fluffy

Accessories play a vital role in completing an outfit and who better than Fluffy to be your personal accessory assistant! She knows that the one accessory that will add pizzazz to your outfit is a bracelet that you made yourself! To make your own bracelet  you are going to need an elastic beading cord, beads, and the kids. Measure your wrists to make sure your bracelets are the correct size then get creative putting the beads in the cord. The bracelets could have a consistent pattern or the beads can be chosen randomly to end up with a fun surprise! If you’re unsure what beads to include, look to Fluffy to provide advice. She is a fashionista and can help you and the kids complete your bracelets!

Eye Spy with Drowsy

The best thing about this next activity is that you don’t have to leave your home to do it. You just need to wait until the sun sets. If you guessed stargazing you are correct! Take the kids outside when it is dark enough and you are able to see the stars. To make it a comfy experience, bring out the lawn chairs and a pair of binoculars if you have them. Try looking for the constellations and see if the kids can spot the Little Dipper. Drowsy can be your astrologist, she is used to looking at the stars and saying goodnight to the moon before she dozes off!

Fort Fun with Dizzy

You can bring simple household items together to create a magical experience for the kids, by making a fort! It gives them a fun place to hide out and provides a safe, comfortable surrounding. You don’t need much to create a fort, just some blankets, sheets, chairs and a curtain rod. Dizzy will provide you with clean sheets that just came out of the dryer! Start by building your fort frame with the chairs and curtain rod, then drape the sheets over it to close off the fort and put in some blankets and pillows to create a comfy environment!

There are just a few activities to cross off your bucket list! Share with us what you plan on getting up to this Summer on InstagramFacebookTikTok ,and YouTube!
